A collection of Adore-era demos, which first popped up on eBay in late Jan/early Feb 2000.
Track 1 is labelled 'The Other Side'.
Track 4 is the same as the album version.
Track 8 is labelled 'I Need You Around'.
Tracks 9 and 10 are labelled 'Batman take 1' and 'Batman take 2'.

This is another one that I'll just call a master, not a RM. These were fine sounding demos, many of which could have easily been used as a professional release (except maybe the Batman songs). So I gave them the full mastering treatment, which basically means I used some slight mastering compression at the front of the chain.
Great tunes here, some interesting different versions, and Billy trying out a new vocal styling. In preparation for the recording of Adore, he used a vocal coach. On some of the versions here there's a slight gravel to it (i.e., My Mistake), almost as though he had a cold. Luckily he abandoned that idea and did it his usual way, though you can still hear a slight mellowing to his attack on some of the lighter pieces on Adore, like "Dusty..." or "Behold...".

I started this compilation a couple weeks ago, as a tribute, and a big 'thank you' to Mixwell.
Unfortunately, I ended up having to ask for his help since I didn't have (13)s of every major album track.
You can expect to see the rest of the major albums in this format very soon. I will be seeding them one at a time.

This 'album' I was able to finish without Mixwell's help, so here it is. Adore, in it's completion.
Composed entirely of thir13en remastered tracks from various concerts.
I really wanted this to fit on a single CD, but that just wasn't going to be possible.

The only modifications I have made from the original tracks is recompiled the album as one wave,
cross faded the tracks for continuity, then split them again.

The Adore-era shows were some of the best performances SP ever did, in my opinion... you should really check this one out.

A slightly trippy, drippy psycho-psychedelic version of "Glass & the Ghost Children" from the Machina Acoustic Demos, 13 style.

    3 - Heavily phasy-tremor-terror version of "Blue Skies Bring Tears"
    4 - The-Opposite-Of-Acoustic version of "Autumn"

Absolutely everything in these versions are from the original versions, all additional noises, samples, loops, etc., were generated by using samples of the original pieces.

Some may like this-some may not, but hey, life's funny that way...I've done pro-audio for over 20 years now, and I just can't stand a crappy recording or even worse, a decent recording with just a plain bad master. I know this is direct from a cassette, but there was much to be improved upon anyway, IMHO...so for those that will enjoy, do so heartily, others who don't like it, well I can only hope you'll understand when I say I don't .... . ....

...Technical info:
Each song had it's own challenges, there unfortunately was not one setting that could breeze through all to even come close to satisfy the ears properly. But the basic tools used were; Sound Forge 7 -> BBE Sonic Maximizer -> Waves L3 Multi-Maximizer -> Digi-001 -> Meyer HD1's -> my ears. 24 bit processing and encoding -> quantized to 16-44 -> Flac -> you.
Some songs had a predictable -1.5db volume drop on the right channel. This was corrected in those cases. Some songs now have a much clearer view of the noise that Billy generated on some of the demos. Don't blame me for the noise, I didn't add any, just did a proper master to the material sourced which in turn really brightens up the din. He created that noise, if you don't like it, contact him.

Gish just happens to be Mixwell's favorite Smashing Pumpkins album, so I asked him for some serious help on this one. We really wanted to make this one different. Mix had to dust off the ol' remastering software and get to work on this one. Most of these tracks were remastered solely for this project...
None of these tracks have been shared before in (13) form. ...all new remastered tracks for you to keep your ears happy with.

I know looking at the track list, you wonder why mix didn't remaster Mashed Potatoes and call it a day.
2 reasons: 5 disks, combined of all different sourced tracks would be a nightmare to remaster. You would have to do each track individually.
...that and if he did that, this compilation wouldn't be 'special'.

Mix did 99% of the work on this, I only have the privilege of uploading it. The only thing I can be given credit for is annoying him daily so it got done. :P

The I Am One rant is awesome. Be sure to keep an ear out for what Billy says.
Be sure to listen to this when you don't have many distractions, you may hear something really, really special you have never heard before. (HINT HINT!!)
